The murder of Dorothy Donovan, a grandmother living in a rural farmhouse in Delaware seemed like and open and shut case for investigators. They were certain her adult son, who lived in a trailer on the property, was responsible. He insisted he was innocent and provided an unbelievable account of what he thought happened to his mom. They weren't buying it.
He would live as a suspect in the minds of many for 15 years before the actual killer was identified and arrested.
