What happened to the Petit family rocked the small town of Cheshire, Connecticut. And, it’s going to horrify you, too. This one is rough folks. In 2007, a pair of thieves broke into the home of Dr. William and Jennifer Petit. Komisarjevsky and Hayes would spend hours in the home and do unspeakable things to the family before setting the house on fire.

In this episode we pick up where we left off in part one: with whose DNA was matched to one of the crimes. There’s no doubt Courtney and Christine were the victims in these cases, but what you’re about to learn is that they weren’t the only victims. Get ready to be upset because in this episode we talk about flawed forensics and less than inspiring work by more than one person associated with these cases. In this episode we talk about two separate, but eerily similar, cases out of Noxubee County, Mississippi. These cases involve the abductions, sexual assaults, and murders of two young girls. The facts are absolutely infuriating and equally heartbreaking. And tragedy in these cases didn’t end with the murders–that’s where it started.

Most of us have spent a little while in time out, but imagine if instead of being sent to your bedroom, your parents sent you to the room they had built in their garage. A 8’ x 8’ room with a bed and bucket. No air conditioning. Did I mention you live in Florida?
As absolutely crazy and infuriating as its sounds, that’s exactly what kind of hell Tim Ferriter’s adopted son had to live through in Jupiter, Florida. We watched most of the hearings and trial in this case and break it all down for you on the Brothers in Crime.

In this epilogue for JonBenét’s case, we dive a little deeper into a couple areas, clear up a few things, and share our personal thoughts on the case. For the record, we weren’t there and don’t know who killed that little girl. More than anything, we’d like to see whoever did it face justice, assuming that’s still possible. Either way, it would be great to see movement in this case.

In part four of our discussion about JonBenét Ramsey’s case, we wrap up with some interesting characters and alternate theories about the case. Through this episode we’ve tried to present the timeline, evidence, and various points of view from those who have worked the case without interjecting our own thoughts or opinions any more than absolutely necessary.
If you’re interested in our thoughts and opinions about the case, there will be an Epilogue where that’s exactly what we talk about. Stay tuned!
