Warning: this is a heart wrenching story that involves the violent death of a child.  It may be too upsetting for some to listen to this episode or explore these notes.

Late one night in January 2023, a 12 year-old girl stabbed her 9 year-old little brother to death inside their home in Tulsa, Oklahoma while their mother was upstairs asleep.  Through her tears, the girl repeatedly professed her remorse and said she didn’t know why she did it.  Her mother says this horrific act was completely out of character for the girl and believes medication is to blame.

In this episode, the Brothers in Crime explore the tragic death of Zander Lyda - a happy, loving little boy.  Like the rest of the world, we can’t help but ponder: WHY?
